I am an I.T. Support and DBA that is based in the Brisbane area of QLD. I have 30 years I.T. experience ranging from IBM and compatible mainframes, Midrange Unix/Linux variants and PC LAN based networks. I have worked with very large networks of a 100+ servers and 1000+ devices through to basic networks of a single server and several devices. I have provided Installation, administration and support for several Unix/Linux platforms, including Red Hat, Solaris and AIX. I have also designed, installed and configured virtual environments using VMWare.
I have performed the Database Administrator role for both Oracle and SQL Server, including server installation and configuration, including in failover configurations. I have also created applications using both Visual Basic, Dot Net and C++, accessing both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. I also have extensive assembler experience in both mainframe and also several PC processors including the x86 Intel and compatible processors.
